Generally speaking, for the lithium-ion battery to be analyzed, or other systems to be tested, electrochemical researchers will do basic detection and electrochemical performance tests to further confirm and judge the problems of the battery or the system.

Soft-pack battery: We need to confirm whether the battery is intact, including whether it is swollen, leaking, whether there is corrosion on the surface, etc., and preliminarily judge whether the battery can be used or what kind of experience it has experienced through the surface phenomenon.

Square aluminum case: It is also to confirm whether the battery is leaking, the aluminum case is deformed, has pits, etc., whether there is asymmetrical pole.

If the battery is swollen, consider whether it is swelling at high temperature or normal temperature, and check the consistency of the battery, whether it is a single battery or a whole batch. If it is a whole batch of batteries, consider whether it is a system problem or an overall process problem. Usually, the swelling of the lithium titanate battery system is more obvious, and the overall swelling will also occur when the assembly process and design are unreasonable. If it is a single battery, consider whether serious cracking attenuation, gas production, etc. have occurred.

If the battery is leaking, first confirm the location of the battery leakage, whether it is at the tabs or the filling port, and finally determine whether it is a battery case design problem or an operation problem, such as not sealing the aluminum plastic film, and not welding the filling hole. Wait.

If corrosion on the battery surface is found, consider whether it is the corrosion caused by the electrolyte spilled during the injection or the leakage of the battery, or the case corrosion caused by the battery short-circuit collision and electrochemical corrosion. When a problem is found, it must be eliminated in time.
